Software development
2020 -2022

When we moved to Enköping, I had the opportunity to try something new, and my choice turned to programming. Software Engineering at MIUN is a very comprehensive program where we have studied various languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bash, and Kotlin, to name a few.

We’ve also covered the fundamentals of networking, operating systems, in-depth Linux, databases, algorithms, data structures, mathematics, and software development to gain a deeper understanding of how software functions at its core. However, the areas that received the most focus were Java and web development.

In Java, we worked on several projects, including building a PacMan clone from scratch with a fellow student, which was an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding project.

In web development, we initially explored standard websites built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before delving into a MEAN stack course. My final project in that course involved creating a recipe database and a user interface for both reading and inputting new recipes.

In addition to my coursework, I used Udemy to further enhance my programming skills. I took courses in Angular, Java, TypeScript, React, Git, Bash, and Python. I find that this style of learning suits me very well, and it’s something I’ve continued to pursue outside of school.
