Country Manager
2010 -2014

After one year of studying economics at SLU, I traveled to Kenya to establish an import-export company in Nairobi. During this year, my focus was on building a functional organization, including hiring lawyers, an accounting firm, and the right personnel to run the company.

Initially, we started by selling water purification equipment to individuals in Nairobi and its surrounding areas. However, over time, we diversified our product portfolio to include larger water purification systems, storage containers, climate panels, and LED lights.

As our product lines gained momentum, I began assisting Swedish and foreign companies in their efforts to establish a presence in Kenya. This involved meeting with businesses to strategize how they could successfully set up operations in Kenya. This aspect of the company began in mid-2013, and we conducted market research and provided reports on the business landscape in Kenya.

I also actively engaged in marketing efforts for the company, which included participating in trade fairs and maintaining strong connections with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and other organizations supporting international trade with Sweden.

Unfortunately, due to the uncertain security situation in Kenya, the company had to cease its operations in August 2014 as we could not ensure the safety of our employees during the ongoing election period.
