Ericsson

Project Controller
2012 -2015

In 2012, I received a job offer to work as a Summer Intern at Ericsson AB in the role of Direct Market Controller. My responsibilities included managing communication between several Ericsson AB subsidiary companies and the parent company. I was also responsible for handling all communication with the auditing firm regarding these subsidiary companies. The primary markets I controlled were Ericsson USA, Ericsson Canada, Ericsson Switzerland, and Ericsson Czech Republic.

After the summer, I was offered the opportunity to continue working at Ericsson AB, dedicating approximately 20 hours per week to my role as Direct Market Controller. Additionally, I took on other responsibilities, such as:

Overseeing a Sox control process related to outgoing invoices. In this capacity, I predominantly worked within the SAP system to prevent invoices with system errors from getting stuck in the SAP system.

Managing internal inventory eliminations across all Ericsson Group companies. As the responsible party, I extensively used SAP and Ericsson AB’s internal consolidation system to determine the correct internal inventory value and ensure accurate consolidation.

Since May 2013, I was working full-time at Ericsson on behalf of Adecco as a Project Controller for Vietnam, Bangladesh, and certain parts of Russia. As a Project Controller, my role is to ensure that Ericsson’s projects are correctly set up and compliant with IFRS. This is achieved through the analysis and monitoring of projects in SAP and Business Warehouse. Given that my markets have approximately 100 ongoing projects, being highly organized and structured is essential to deliver a top-quality product.

Furthermore, the company had documentation requirements to demonstrate Ericsson’s SOX compliance, a responsibility I managed for my markets.

In my work with Ericsson’s local teams in my markets, I was also responsible for creating and monitoring forecasts for the parent company’s participation in the projects we had in the market. The forecast was a collaborative effort between myself and the controllers in the market, and we actively and meticulously worked to improve the accuracy of forecasts between months.

I also played a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial closings, especially during quarters and year-end closings. During these closing periods, we focused extensively on punctuality and precision to achieve the most accurate results within the projects.
