During my first year working in Kenya in 2010, I had the opportunity to meet an engineer deeply involved in water purification issues. In 2011, he went on to create his own portable water purifier and founded the company Wananchi UK. My family decided to invest in this company in 2011, and in 2012, the Swedish branch was established, obtaining sales rights in the Nordic region and East Africa.

Since the inception of Wananchi Nordic, I have worked closely with the founder of Wananchi UK on matters related to marketing, sales strategy, and the financial aspects of the business. I have also been involved in development initiatives within the UK-based company, where we formulate strategies to expand and enhance the company. This work involves developing investment calculations and providing a solid foundation for decision-making to ensure the company is on the right track. Additionally, it entails establishing connections with Swedish companies interested in distributing our products and finding international business partners.

Within this role, I have also managed the financial planning for the company, including budgeting and financial forecasting.
